Wake Up Maggie

We have lots of daily routines here at my Nanna Doreen's: playing in the garden, watching soap operas, having a cup of tea and a biscuit in the aftenoon. And every morning all of us are greeted by the sound of magpies singing to us from the back steps. My Nanna goes out and hand feeds them little slices of sausages, and I get to help. It's a special thing we do together, and I get so excited that I start kicking my legs and try to jump out of Nanna's arms so I can touch the birds. At first this made the magpies really nervous, but I think throughout this last month we've built up an understanding: I don't grab for them, and they don't bite my fingers. I sure will miss them when we leave for Sydney tomorrow.

Bye bye maggies. See you next time.

These Are Not the Droids You're Looking For

Ummm, so, I have to admit that I don't really understand this post. My mom made me write it and kept giggling to herself about it. Knowing her and my dad, I'm guessing I need to channel all my super geek powers into decipering its code. Much geekiness has been genetically imprinted on my brain, but where oh where to begin?

L.L. Archie: Addendum

Looking back at that last post, it is a little embarassing how timid I am with the ladies, so I decided to brush up on my canoodling skills. Mom and Nanna have let me practice flirting with them a bit, but unfortunately they're busy a lot. What is a boy to do? Luckily, my Nanna Doreen was quick to come up with a solution. She reached into a box full of old toys, and voila!

Poking eyes: check. Picking nose: check. Lifting skirts and pulling hair: check and check again. Next time a pretty girl wants to hold my hand, I'll be ready!

L.L. Archie

Ladies love, ladies love, young and old, the ladies do love Archie. And that's me!

Sometimes this much affection can be a little overwhelming...but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Just Jump

There were lots of people to meet and activities to do during my visit to Stratharlie. The animals were definitely my favorite activity, but I'd have to say, if presed, that the trampoline came in a close second. My Pop Pop took me to jump a little bit on the side of the trampoline.
At first, I didn't really understand what I was stepping on. But once I gave in and started to bounce a little, it felt so amazing that I just had to bounce some more, and higher, and higher still. I know I never got too far up there. After all, my Pop Pop loves me and always had me firmly in his grasp.

...But there were times when it felt like I was flying.
